Conditions of participation in the scientific event

Introduction

Welcome to the Round Table on New Paradigms in Hip Revision Surgery, organized by ULSEDV — Hip Unit and sponsored by BioBall® — Merete. By registering and participating in this event, you accept the following terms and conditions.

Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with your registration. Participation in the event presupposes full acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Event Registration

→Event registration is free and subject to seat availability
→The event is primarily intended for healthcare professionals (orthopedic surgeons, surgeons, orthopedic residents, and other professionals in the field)
→Registration is only considered confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email
→The organization reserves the right to refuse or cancel registrations that do not meet the requirements or for security reasons
→All data provided must be true and up-to-date
→Registration is personal and non-transferable

Cancellation and Changes

Cancellation by Participant

→Participants can cancel their registration at any time through the email provided in the confirmation

Cancellation or Change by Organization

→The organization reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify the event for reasons of force majeure
→In case of cancellation, participants will be notified with the maximum possible advance notice
→The organization may change the program, speakers or schedules without prior notice, when necessary
→The organization is not responsible for costs incurred by participants in case of cancellation or change of the event

Event Participation

→Participants commit to maintaining professional and respectful behavior
→Compliance with safety rules and instructions from the organizing team is mandatory
→The organization reserves the right to remove participants who violate these rules

Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

→All materials presented (presentations, documents, videos) are intellectual property of the respective authors and the organization
→Recording, photography or filming of presentations without prior authorization is prohibited
→Participants may not reproduce, distribute or publish any event content without express permission
→Information shared during sessions may contain sensitive data or clinical cases and must be treated with confidentiality

Certification and Credits

→Participants will receive a certificate of attendance, subject to verification of effective participation
→Certificate issuance may take up to 30 days after the event
→Information about credits for continuing medical education will be communicated in due course
→The organization is not responsible for accreditation with professional orders or external entities

Limitation of Liability

→The organization is not responsible for technical or connectivity issues that may affect the participant's experience
→Participation in the event is at each participant's own expense and risk
→The organization is not responsible for opinions or statements made by speakers

Image Rights

By participating in the event, you authorize the organization to:

→Capture and use photographs and videos of the event for publicity, promotion and archival purposes
→Publish these images on websites, social media, reports and promotional materials
→If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you must inform the organization at the time of the event

Sponsorship and Conflicts of Interest

This event is sponsored by ESC and BioBall® — Merete. The organization and speakers declare potential conflicts of interest in accordance with applicable ethical standards.

→Sponsorship does not influence the scientific content of presentations
→Participants acknowledge the presence of sponsor promotional material at the event
→Participation in the event does not imply any commercial relationship or obligation with the sponsor

Personal Data Protection

The processing of your personal data is carried out in accordance with the GDPR. For more information on how we process your data, please consult our Privacy Policy.

Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

→These terms and conditions are governed by Portuguese law
→Any dispute shall be within the jurisdiction of the courts of Santa Maria da Feira
→In case of divergence between language versions of these terms, the Portuguese version shall prevail
